You don't know how to breathe.
You've tried instructions, protocols, techniques, teachers.
Someone must know how to do it right.
But somehow, it still doesn't feel right.
You want to change.
But if you are honest, you are not even sure why.
Or into what.
So answer one question:
How do you breathe?
Can you actually feel it?
Maybe the problem is not that you haven't found the right instruction yet.
Maybe you are looking for something that does not exist.
No one breathes wrong.
That is the wrong assumption.
Some shape the breath one way.
Others shape it another way.
Breathing exercises are not proof that you are broken.
They are a game.
A practice.
A creative tool.
You are allowed to do this your own way.
The breath does not care.
It was there before you.
It will still be there after you.
If you do not like what became of your first breath,
begin again.
Not someone else.
Not an app.
You.
Notice it.
Now.
Later.
Tomorrow.
It does not matter.
Peel away the illusion, layer by layer,
and simply look.
I is a gentle wave emerging from the ocean of breath.
I is okay, even if I am not.
You is okay, even if you are not.
Do not follow the protocol.
You are the protocol.
